Foods to Keep the Skin Healthy
There are many great foods to keep the skin looking fresh and healthy.
Many of these foods are the vegetables most kids avoid as a child. Those green vegetables your mom forced you to eat happen to be the best things for your skin's health. The best green leafy vegetables are kale, spinach and collards. These vegetables are high in nutrients with loads of Vitamin A, Vitamin E and Fiber. All of which are important for healthy skin.
Another important food for the skin is berries. Blackberries, strawberries, cranberries, and blueberries all have antioxidants as well as other nutrients that keep the skin healthy. Antioxidants are important because they help combat free radicals such as UV rays, Pollution and heat which all cause the skin to age through damage to skin cells. Since the amount of antioxidants decrease as one age, it is important to consume at least 3 to 5 servings of fruits high in antioxidants to keep your skin healthy.
Beans are also full of antioxidants that could help fight off free radicals which damage the skin. Red beans, kidney beans, and pinto beans should be a part of every surfer's diet. These foods will keep you full and healthy.
All of these foods fruit, vegetables, and beans should be consumed everyday. Then, you can have healthy skin from the inside out.
