Girls Surfboards
Choosing the Right Girls Surfboards
If you are new to surfing and wish to be professional in this sport, it is very crucial to go for the proper surfboard. Even if the sleek boards used by leading surfers enchant you, you will have to stick to some basic rules till you are a pro at the game. There are some points that have to be kept in mind when you go for girls surfboards.
- Don't spend a lot on your foremost surfboard
Since you are learning, there are bound to be scratches and dings on your surfboard in the process. So buy an economical, used surfboard as it works fine too even if it has little yellow shades and dings. Take care not to buy one that has foam on its dings and delaminated.
- Choose a large and thick surfboard to start with
Girls' surfboards must be about seven feet in length and around twenty inches in width. The thickness is good at two to three inches. This is a general dimension and you can buy one that is easy to hold on and maneuver in the water. A good surfboard will facilitate paddling and floatation as well.
- Shape does not matter
When you are learning to surf, you are not going to turn or maneuver at all. The primary six months will be spent in achieving basic proficiency. Try and go for 3-finned surfboards as they are convenient to turn and very helpful for advanced and intermediate level women surfers.
As a beginner, the above tips will help you a lot in the initial training period. There are different kinds of girls' surfboards available online like short boards, medium-sized boards, long boards, retro surfboards, body and skim boards, paddle boards, fun boards, fish boards, surftech shapers, egg boards and other sorts of boards to suit your needs.
