• Wetsuits: As the name says, wetsuits are one of those girls' surfwear that are useful in conserving the bodily heat by locking a sheath of water close to the skin. This water is gradually heated by the body warmth and thus works as an insulator. Surfing females can use wetsuits to avoid hypothermia. These suits are offered in different styles such as full suits, springs, rashguards and neoprene, tops, booties, hoods and gloves etc.
• Rashguards: A rash vest is a kind of sports shirt made from spandex and nylon or polyester materials. Rashguards in girls' surfwear are helpful for wearing in warm to very hot days when it is not too comfortable to wear a wetsuit. A rash guard also avoids chafing arising from wax on the board. They are available in various designs starting from a price of about $40.
• Boardshorts: Originally designed for men, boardshorts are also used by women surfers these days. These shorts are suitable for water sports that use a board, like surfing as they dry fast and fit snugly as well.
