Home Remedies For Your Skin In Summer
There is hardly any person on the planet who does not want to be good looking. People take all sorts of steps and precautions to maintain or improve their beauty. What many people overlook is that the precautions and steps are not uniform throughout the year. What works for winter may be useless in summer and vice versa. The summer season is the time when the skin is most affected due to the heat. Excessive sweating is a cause of dandruff and dry hair, stale smell, pimples and many more. Here we will go through some points, which are required for caring for your skin during the summer months:
Avoid direct sunlight. Melanin present in the body affects the color of the skin. It not only darkens the skin, it can also lead to sunstroke. Try to reduce going out in the heat. If necessary, use caps, umbrellas and sunglasses and wear cotton clothes.
The best solution to skin problems is to take a bath with cool water. It is not necessary to use soaps and shampoo daily. Cool water gives a glow to your skin. To remove the stale smelling sweat from the body, squeeze a lemon into your bath water.
Try to eat fresh fruits and vegetables like mango, papaya, cucumber, watermelon, tomato etc. and drink as much coconut water as possible. It brings a glow to the skin besides keeping you fresh and energetic.
If you are suffering from a heat rash, apply a paste of curd mixed with turmeric on the body. Apply this half an hour before a bath. In case you are suffering from bile related problems, apply a paste of curd mixed with atta (flour) and then take bath. If the problem exists along with itching and infection, make a paste of neem leaves, basil leaves, coriander leaves, mint leaves and turmeric powder. Keep this paste in a refrigerator and use it for seven days.
Lemon and cucumber juice is beneficial for people with oily skin. Mix the juices in flour and apply the resulting paste to the face. Wash it off after 15 minutes. Do this regularly and you will have a fresh and radiant face.
People with normal skin can use a paste of white sandalwood and rose water on the face. Apply it on the face when going to bed and wash it off in the morning.
Wash your hair regularly to keep it clean and freshen it with rose water.
If you suffer from severe dandruff, mix fenugreek powder in a cup of curd, keep it overnight and use it on the scalp half an hour before a bath. You will find a definite improvement within 3 to 4 days.
If you follow these simple home remedies, you will save yourself much trouble. Usual summer problems like rashes, pimples, sunstroke and dandruff will not affect you. The best thing about all these home remedies is that you need not search for the ingredients anywhere. They are available right in your home. These remedies have been in use since long ago. If you follow them regularly, you will see that the harsh summer season will whiz past without affecting you and you will have a glowing and radiant skin.
