MTV's surf girls

The newest fad that seems to be making waves in the female surfing circuit is the MTV's surf girls show. This reality show which captures fourteen professional surfers on their quest to surf the seas of the world, is creating ripples across the world. These contestants will be traveling across the world, to the countries of Australia, Samoa, Tahiti, and Hawaii to surf the waters and decide who emerges at the top spot.

The contestants are all just in their late teens or early twenties but are idols to millions of young girls around the world who wish to make it big on the surfing circuit some day. The contest is a great opportunity for many aspiring surfers and wannabe celebrities to make their mark. For very long, surfing has been limited to the male realm, a trend that has started to change recently. The fact that female surfers are still in smaller numbers means there is lesser competition and a good many aspiring young surfers stand a chance at the MTV's surf girls show.

Few of the present MTV's surf girls are: Aimee-learnt to surf on the beaches of Waikiki as a kid with her father's help and what excites her most about surfing is the adrenaline rush. April- has surfed since she was 5 years old. She enjoys the beauty of the ocean and the sunset a lot. Kula- comes from a surfing family and is a complete water person. Jenna-is very competitive and comes from a surfing family again. Jennifer- not too caught up with surfing but grew up in the waters and has become very competitive.

So most of these surf girls are early starters and have years of experience behind them despite being so young. Then that's something to remember- if you're planning to surf, start today.
