If you are fairly conversant with surfing, then mid-size boards should be your ideal choice. While short boards provide superior maneuverability, they are extremely hard to handle. Long boards on the other hand a very stable, but cannot be turned and maneuvered easily. Mid-sized boards however bring the best of both worlds to the fairly accomplished surf. These boards of relatively easier to handle than short boards and also provide better maneuverability than long boards.

Our Surftech Takayama Hawaiian Pro Designs Egg is 7' 10" long with a 16.125" nose, a 21.75" mid section and 14.625" tail section. If you're neither quite ready to handle a short board, nor satisfied to passively cruise on a long board, then the Hawaiian Pro Designs Egg is the right solution for you. This eggy shaped model allows the rider to trim high on the wave in the middle of the board or race down the line on the tail according to the riders preference. This board is also a perfect beginners board because of the overall shape. Our Surftech McTavish Carver is an 8' mid-sized board with a 15.5" nose, a 21.53 mid section and a 14.5" tail section. The Carver is a great fun and practical board to surf on but due to it friendly volume and area, it offers superior performance and maneuverability as well. The highly developed bottom shape, with proven elements like three-stage rocker, single to double concaves, and bevels are the main reasons for its great performance. This board has fins mounted right under the back foot placement.

The Surftech Surf Diva Flutterby offers added volume and surface area that is similar to a longboard as well as a template that is closer to a shortboard. This board brings that best of both the short and long boards together. The wider nose is easy for paddling and the pulled in tail for performance. This is an excellent board for riders of all levels.
